Bitter Sweet Haze is built for the sessions where nothing happens. It is a spiced hemp boilie with no fishmeal at all: bitter is the Haze herb mix and the essential black pepper oil, sweet is the sugar beet coprah molasses, haze is hemp and hemp oil. Vitamealo and a subtle Green Zing sit alongside them. That profile is far enough from the usual fishmeal route to break through pressure where other baits go quiet, and it also makes the bait usable on waters holding catfish. It fishes all year round, and a striking number of anglers take their heavier fish on it.
- 01No fishmeal, which also makes it a choice on catfish waters

- 03Fishes all year, with a name for the heavier fish

How it came about
Bitter Sweet Haze did not start as a variation on an existing bait but as a deliberate attempt to build something that sat well to one side of it. The brief was to drop fishmeal entirely and work from herbs, hemp, sweetness out of sugar beet and strong natural triggers instead. That is the harder place to start, because fishmeal does a great deal of the work on its own. What came out is a bait that makes no attempt to resemble the crowd, and that is exactly why anglers reach for it at the point where the standard choice has stopped producing.
